Community leaders will play a significant role in raising awareness about and funds for Campaign Victoria. This campaign is really about "Supporting
the Dream" of not only incoming and future students, but also of better schools, new businesses and strong families in the Coastal Bend area.
Names of the talented and passionate Campaign Victoria board members soon will be listed in this section of the Web site.
President's Message
The residents of this community have been very generous with their time and effort toward our goal of making the University of Houston-Victoria a destination
university. I would like to personally thank Rep. Geanie Morrison and Sen. Glenn Hegar for their help in getting House Bill 1056 signed into law.
Having a comprehensive university in the Victoria area will benefit the community in many ways. It will draw additional students, faculty and staff; increase
cultural events and activities; and strengthen the economy.
But our work is, in some ways, just beginning. We continue to need your support in our challenge to raise $250,000 annually during the next five years. This
money will be used for scholarships for our new freshmen and sophomores from outside our region.
Please join with me in this effort to not only support UHV’s dreams, but also to support our dreams of a stronger community.
